I know not whether Empson1 the other night spoke to you, as he engaged to do, about the project of a “London Library”; nor, if so, what your sentiments on it were. I venture to send you a copy of our Prospectus; a paper not of my writing, but expressing in some measure a strong wish of mine.
That one with your faculty to forward the scheme would please to take it up, is of course in the highest degree desirable. Who knows?— On the other hand, if you radically disapprove of it, pray forgive me.
