TC TO FRANCES WEDGWOOD
Chelsea, 3 May, 1843—
My dear Mrs Wedgwood,
On Saturday,1 it is already settled, we are to dine in the Snuggery way, with Forster, in Lincoln's Inn Fields, at five o'clock,—a much fitter hour for a poor broken-hearted Dyspeptic Radical-Reformer like myself! I wish you would bring Horner2 down hither with you some Wednesday Evg; that would be far better than a 7 o'clock Dinner, or any such frightful phenomenon!—
Has Wedgwood any Icelandic Grammar? I am deep in Norse Sagas.
Yours ever truly /
T. Carlyle
