TC TO LORD MAHON
Chelsea, 21 April, 1844—
Dear Lord Mahon,
You are very kind to remember me; and I am very unfortunate that I cannot come. I am so busy in these weeks, and so sickly withal, it is not allowed me to go out anywhither in the morning, and indeed hardly anywhither either evening or morning.
With many kind regards and regrets
Yours always truly /
T. Carlyle
