TC TO JOHN FORSTER
Chelsea, 26 augt, 1845—
I have got done with Cromwell; I purpose to come to you on Thursday at five o'clock. My Brother John has arrived here the other night: shall I bring him with me? If Dickens would come over and join us, would it not be beautiful:—but I suppose there is no chance of that!
You see what a pretty thing I am making of it, having got it all my own way. But at bottom nevertheless, it is to be all your way. I, namely, without escort or other circumstance, will come to you any afternoon you like between this and Monday, if you will tell me which,—Thursday is no better to me than another day, except that some one must be named.1
Yours ever truly /
