Unluckily I am engaged to dine on Saturday, and cannot come to you. Alas, I am again sunk deep in the Puritan Abysses (unexpectedly, after I seemed to have escaped alive), and can hardly get anywhither! With kind regards to Mr Hawes, and regrets enough to myself for one
