TC TO EDWARD CHAPMAN
Chelsea, 31 Augt, 1848—
My dear Sir,
Mr Bosworth1 tells me that the Book Sartor Resartus has been quite out of print for a month past, and that inquiries are occasionally made for it,—of course in vain.
I am just going out of Town for a three weeks; and send you this little announcement before departure. Robson has a corrected Copy of the Book; and you know the price of an Edition of it. As many “Editions” as you like, of it and of all the others.
Yours always truly / T. Carlyle.
