Dear Sir,
I had the pleasure of receiving your new Volume1 and also your obliging Letter; for both of which I beg to return you many thanks. I expect to have much entertainment, and instruction as to various important things, in reading the new Book, of which I have yet only had time to go into the Preface and the Introduction. I wish you could persuade certain monied people to build that Iron Town in the New Forest2 and fairly try it! They would find whether their present notions, on Government, Society &c &c would hold water yea or not!— The agitation of such topics, the discussion of them everywhere by so acceptable a Speaker as you, will itself do a great deal of good.
