Chelsea, 5 March, 1850—

My dear Sir,

Here is Chapman's Letter come at length.1 He did not answer at all till I, meeting him in the lanes on Sunday, again admonished him.

Your Ms.2 now, we may hope, will get such best examination as he can give it; the result of which (for he is a shrewd man in his trade) will not fail to throw light on the affair for you.
