TC TO JOSEPH NEUBERG

Chelsea, 3 feby, 1855—

Dear Neuberg,

I am sorry to report that this is not the kind of Paper: it differs materially from the Specimen sent, is a little more uncomfortable for writing than the kind I had; and in fact will do nothing for me!— Please get it changed if you can: I have taken this one sheet,1 and tied up all the others again in statu quo [as before]. My malison on this everlasting “spirit of change,” which haunts a man in every detail of his existence!—
