TC TO JOSEPH NEUBERG

Chelsea, 8 feby, 1855—

Dear Neuberg,

Yesterday the Paper went up to Chapman's for you.1 I am sorry to give you farther trouble on that matter; but if I could actually get a lot of Paper identical with what you write on it wd be a very great convenience to me indeed.

By the way, did yr Petition to the State-Paper people include Hotham's own account of that final interview with Fk Wm (whh was like to have ended in Kicks,2 say some)? I remember his brief dignified Despatch on that occasion;—and today, on turning over that matter, find that I must have it if possible. I hope you have (by a lucky inspiration) ordered it!— If not pray try what can still be done.— Your Abstract (i.e. the Notes I am weekly collecting here) will, in every way, require to have that little Document in extenso.

We expect you on Sunday Evg.— Yours ever truly

T. Carlyle
