TC TO JOSEPH NEUBERG

Dear Neuberg,—Here is a well-disposed but not superlatively wise Yankee treating of “International Copyright.” Read, if you have nothing better to do, his printed matter and written. Then,—if you can make out, what I have splashed down on the other side of the sheet, and will copy it into legibility (correcting where needful), I will send him that by way of answer: if not, I will send him nothing.1

Mrs Austin's Raumer2 has not a word of 1716; begins at Fk Wm's death;—refers to “Royal Letters” as a volume, or volumes, at the State Paper Office.

No more.—in haste T. C.
