Monday (Augt 6, 1855) Chelsea

Dear Fitzgerald,—We have got your Note: thanks.1 I speculate on coming off on Wednesday, for I think this is the beginning of dry weather, tho' showers still hang about: Wednesday, that is the day after tomorrow;—but I will write you another line tomorrow; more especially if you are to meet me anywhere on the route. Steamer, I doubt, will be unattainable at that early hour.2
