Chelsea, 6 May, 1856—

Dear Sir,

If you put on your spectacles (outward and inward), and accurately survey these enclosed scratchings,1 you will be able to make out what I mean in regard to that Enterprise.2 So soon as you have made up your mind, pray let me see you again.— We can then also try to settle about the Fredk; whh ought to know soon now what is going to become of it.

I am in the uttermost haste, or I would have written more clearly on the other Paper.
