TC TO [CHARLES HENRY COOPER]
Chelsea, 7 octr, 1856
Dear Sir,
Returning from the country, I find your friendly Note, and the Copy of Mw Robinson which it announces, all safe; and am surely much indebted to Mr Mayor and you.1 The Nicholas Ferrar2 matter, which was intrinsically zero on my side, you managed very well. I hope to get some good of Robinson one of these evenings, tho’ he too seems rather a dull obsolete fellow.
If I come to Cambridge, certainly I will endeavour to call on you.
Believe me / Yours very sincerely / T. Carlyle
