TC TO JOSEPH NEUBERG

Dear Neuberg,—There are, I find, many errors of names in all these Maps, especially in Prussia whh I have examined: Treuenbrietzen, Trarbach, Merseburg, Donauwörth, Darmstadt,1 besides the 2 you have mention.
In consequence I have got copies of all the Three maps; and will request you to mark (on the margins opposite the places, wd be most convenient, or with a bit of paper wafered on) whatever you find wrong after careful survey. Larkin2 and the Engraver (who could not read their Stieler's3 “Mersebg” &c) will then cheerfully address themselves to brush away that dust from a good new coat. They are in haste; as the Printing goes on with such haste. Perhaps you could return the things to me on Sunday,—when, at any rate, come.
Here has just arrived a Letter, which I perceive to have come from our fair Lissa Friend,4 tho’ I have not deciphered a word of it. This also you may bring with you in readable condition. I leave this, from horseback; being (happily) to ride today. Yours always
