TC TO VERNON LUSHINGTON

Chelsea 14 decr 1856

Dear Sir,

I will be ready for you on Monday Evg from 7½ p.m. to 9.

Do not bring any of Mayor's Books:1 I get them all by nature, and do not keep them long. A stoutish Colt, not the Foal of an Ass,2 I will believe:—nevertheless I wait to see him arrive at Horsehood, and some knowledge of harness and the nature of Highways.
