TC TO JAMES AITKEN
Chelsea, Saturday 29 May / 1857
Dear James,
I am very much obliged to you; but you must by no manner of means think of paying for those Pipes; this would be quite other than a convenience to me,—and in fact must not be dreamt of at all. Let M'Dl1 send me his Account (packing &c included);2 I shall then know on what terms every way,—in what time, for what money, with how little breakage,—the article can arrive; and where to apply for it again.
Not a word more this morning;—but many thanks.
