I am glad to see the spiritual statum you have reached (in spite of so much ill health and other obstacles)1 since we last were deliberately together.2 I bid you persist, persevere with quiet courage, thro fair weather and thro foul: a man in that way makes something of the miserable craft you and I follow, even in these sad times of ours.
