TC TO JOHN RUTTER CHORLEY
Chelsea, 5 Octr, 1858—
Dear Chorley,
They are going to print that Book again, to start almost immediately: we will have a great many hyphens cut out of it, for one thing; “Old-Dessauer”1 and and2 some others!—
If you can give me any help in regard to more important errors (one or two I myself am aware of, thanks to you for one), now of course is the time. Both Volumes are to go on together, it wd appear; but we will take what time is necessary,—were the hurry still greater than I believe it is.
Epecially3 if you had any general rule (about hyphens or other things) to give the Printer, I shd like to see it,—for he is a man Capable of understanding such a thing, & following it.
I have been in a whirl of hurries, with a great many small matters, ever since my return; but hope to see you soon after so long an absence.
