TC TO JOSEPH NEUBERG
Chelsea, 28 feby, 1859—
Dear Neuberg,—I am shoving rubbish aside. Here is a kind of Index to Fassn knocking about; I think you have Fassmann;1 please stick this in, with a crumb of wafer, it will at least be out of the way.
The other Patch is about Seyfart;2 was intended, I suppose, for Wm's & Norgate3 3 months ago: but as they have made so little of Adelung4 &c, it is not worth sending thither now. I wish, however, you wd immediately, either there or somewhere better, take some punctual steps on the matter: it wd really be a great acquisition to me, that missing volume of Seyfart.5 Pray stir up somebody to try earnestly for that volume;—any other old ruinous Copy of Seyfart wd have a chance to contain it: beyond doubt, the thing might be got in the Antiquar shops by a diligt man!
Yours always /
T. Carlyle
