TC TO JOSEPH NEUBERG
[25 May 1859]
Dear Neuberg,—Wms & Norgate sent the Herzog [Duke] Ferdinand Book, “vol 2,” yesternight: tell them I will keep it, but that it is worth nothing to me till I get vol 1 to begin upon!1— I also (and much more pressingly) wish you cd urge upon them some despatch abt Adelung:2 “Coming, coming”; and it does not come, not even in an imperfect state;—and I am daily obliged to some contrivance for doing without it; and you can fancy how lovely it will be, arriving like ten (or 9?)3 cartloads of beastly mustard after the dinner is done! Pray call some day, and urge!
A fine Letter from Emerson,4 whh you shall see. Sunday Evg come, and all the Preusses5 &c with you that you have done with.— Yrs ever truly T. C.
