TC TO JOHN FORSTER
Chelsea, 10th June
My dear Sir,
Here are your Books again, with many cordial thanks. We are for Scotland soon, till the hot weather be over. I think of calling some day, to make a new forage among your Book-shelves before that. I am a Rob Roy in Books; and levy “black-mail” on all my friends.1— When is the concluding Cromwell to be out?2
Spedding is at length about promulgating his Library Program.3 He will send you some copies; entreating your good offices.
I remain always / Yours most truly / T. Carlyle
