My dear Sir,
Mr Mazzini, of whom doubtless you have heard, wishes to communicate with you about some Article or Articles which he thinks might suit your Review. I suppose you are acquainted with the very striking Essay on Italian Literature, and a second, on Father Paul, which he already published there.1 He is a man of true genius, an honourable, brave and gifted man; I could wish heartily for both your sakes that a good relation might spring up between you.
