TC TO EDWARD FITZGERALD
Chelsea, Wednesday [10 May 1843]—
Dear Fitzgerald,
On a calm prognosis of the weather-symptoms, and survey of all the circumstances, I say, No for this time. Come you off straightway, and leave Rutput and the other Hills1 to drip a little. So soon as the Sun does decisively shew himself, we shall be ready to give him meeting.
I am off to the Museum today, to investigate Col. Okey and certain other persons.— Is not Hunger and Revolution2 a comfortable piece? Be sure you leave it with some Tory of the kind specified.
In immense haste,
Yours always /
T. Carlyle
