TC TO [HENRY DRUMMOND]
5. Cheyne Row, Chelsea / 3 june, 1843—
My dear Sir,
Thanks for your kind renewal of the invitation to Albury.1 I am very weakly, indeed unwell, or possibly you might have heard of me sooner. At present I wait daily for some symptom of steady weather to run off to the coast of Glamorganshire, where a friend2 has provided some hut or altogether solitary lodging for me, that I may collect myself again a little, in conversation with the mere Winds and Seas. These always tell a true story to one, if a somewhat indistinct one!
I shall hope to look towards Guil[d]ford3 again on some happier occasion; and in the meanwhile do very sincerely wish all blessings to you and yours there.
With many thanks, with much regard, I remain always,
Truly yours, /
