Gentlemen,
I herewith send you Captn Johnstone's two Mss.;1 which, with a printed leaf or two (here added also lest perhaps they be wanted) are the whole amount of his writings in my possession. I shall be very happy to receive them again in the shape of a volume; and will beg you to assure Captn J. of my continued sympathy in his sickness and desire for his success.
