TC TO C. H. COOPER
Chelsea, 20 March / 1846
Dear Sir,
I have received your Ely Papers,1 still in time; for which many new thanks. They shall be well taken care of, they and your other property here; and very thankfully returned so soon as I have done with them.
Hand's Letter is in the Appendix;2 to which I have not yet got. The Printer is not quite half thro' the Text; nor am I yet wholly thro' it. A business of endless trouble: but you will find the Book a little improved; and not fail here and there to see traces of your own labour in it.
Yours very sincerely /
T. Carlyle
