TC TO LADY HARRIET BARING
Chelsea, Thursday [early July 1846]—
Last night you had a Party; tonight I am unwell, and must not venture out; tomorrow night I will come up for tea.
You need not answer. If you are to be out; if for any reason or for none you cannot see me,—don't I understand? The walk and the hope are mine; and I can see you with my mind, then and always, in spite of All the Devils!— Take care of yourself.
