1. Kenyon either still lived at 40 York Terr., Regent's Pk., or (beginning ca. 1847) at 39 Devonshire Pl., nearby.

2. Coterie speech. Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning had married the previous Sept. and moved to Italy. Browning wrote to TC from Florence, 14 May: “Mr. Kenyon mentions a note you have given Miss Fuller—and which she will probably bring when she comes here; it is a delight to expect.”
