TC TO RICHARD MONCKTON MILNES
Chelsea, 10 feby, 1849—
Can you come and eat a mutton-chop with us, tomorrow at 5 o'clock. There is literally nothing but that, or something equivalent; and the common sight of ourselves; and the uncommon one of that beautiful Gamin Louis Blanc, who is to eat his little dinner with us on that occasion! Come if you have no other engagement. If you cannot come, pray let us know some time tomorrow forenoon, that we may not wait. The last Post (I think) leaves your region1 for Chelsea at 6 tonight?— Silence after 2 o'clock tomorrow we shall take to mean assent. A prettier little Gamin never came athwart us before!
Yours ever truly /
