JWC TO KATE STERLING

5 Cheyne Row [ca. 26 May 1852]

Dearest Kate

me voila! looking and feeling much like a soldier just returned from the thirty years war— Mr C is much better weaker than usual a little—but daily mending of that also I have to go out tomorrow morning to sit for my picture my Heavens— but I will be at home betwixt three and four in case you can come—you in the singular or plural—

Yours ever /
