TC TO F. K. LENTHALL

The Grange, Alresford Hants 16. Octr, 1852—

Dear Sir,

I have directed my Booksellers to forward by Post, without delay, a Copy of the Supplement to Cromwell's Letters and Speeches 2d Edition to your Address “nr Abingdon Bucks”; and there, or at the Post-Office, I expect you will find it on Tuesday first; and so be able to proceed at your convenience, with the rectifications of Carey. These, if they are marked on the margin so as to be legible to a Printer, may at once take their place as improvements in any future edition.

Wishing you well thro' your pious operation, for which all good readers will be thankful and indebted.

I remain (in great haste) / Yours always truly / F. Carlyle 1

F. Kyffin Lenthall
