TC TO JOHN FORSTER
Chelsea, Friday Night 13 May 1853
Dear Forster,
You have not been able to come; but we purpose coming (my Wife and I) to you tomorrow evening to tea, if you are not to be out,—i.e. if you say nothing in answer to this. If you are to be out, say some thing at once, that it may arrive in time. Otherwise expect us at half past 7.
I got Landor's Book, as you know; a very nice Book; and have written to him about it.— Good night, dear F.
Yours always /
T. Carlyle
