Dear Sir,

You are perfectly at liberty to let the Game of Craigenputtoch to any respectable person,—let us say, a person whom Mr Adamson1 does not object to:—I am only sorry for the sad inducement you allude to;2 which indeed was an event I have much regretted, for many reasons, and shall regret.
