TC TO LADY STANLEY
Chelsea, 30 june, 1855—
Dear Lady Stanley,
Many thanks for the kind trouble you have taken; which is not quite without avail, for the old Dame has actually got her £100, and is very cheery over it, as you might see.1
Do not mind the troublesome thing any farther: I perceive it is in reality out; and we must try to get into the Times (I suppose) next week, and go to the end of our tether there, as the only thing left.
