Chelsea, 29 Novr, 1855—

Dear Neuberg,—— I begin to fear something may have gone wrong in your side of the world: some cold, or mischief of that kind, have overtaken you again? Pray write a word to say; one word will do, if you are in bad case for writing.

I am rather busy, ending the the1 First Silesian War,2—that is to say, in the rough. It has been settled we go into Hampshire for a month on the 17th next.— I hope you will send me a favourable bulletin tomorrow. Yours always truly

T. Carlyle
