TC TO CHARLOTTE WILLIAMS WYNN
Chelsea, 18 April, 1857
Dear Miss Wynne,
I am happy to report that the poor Wife got nothing but benefit out of your visit; that the accident1 which had befallen earlier in the day proved slighter than might have been feared, and has had no permanency;—and in short that, this morning, things look well again, and in a state of progress.
Some afternoon shortly I will not fail to come, and get my road-instructions.
Yours, dear Miss Wynne
Ever truly / T. Carlyle 2
