Dear Neuberg,

If you have Köhler's Reichs Historie1 (whh I am not sure of), wd you look out in it for the date (1242?) of Baty Khan's2 or the Tartar Invasion of Silesia;3 and give me the page of it. Item, page and date (23 May 1618?) of the Three Prag Gentn descending from their upper window in the Schloss there.4 I want these references in a Proof-sheet now on hand, for whh they will still be in time.

I have had cold; been out at Addiscombe for a day or two; and am wriggling along at a snail's pace with my beggarly work.— Never mind the Köhler things, if you have not the chance. Let us see you next Sunday night at any rate.

Yours always truly / T. Carlyle
