[24? February 1859]

Dear Neuberg,—Here is yr good Abstract of Kaiser Karl's Death1 sent back for bestimmung [definition] in one small point whh unluckily has become critical to me. In the Patch stuck to bottom of p. 3 you will find what the infinitely small point is: pray look, and make it indubitable for me.

Another little Patch (abt Truchsess [commandant] and fire in Spandau)2 will be useful, if you will put the date beyond question.— Needn't copy anything; Larkin will do it so far as needful. I have Mill's Liberty3 ready for you; whh is a strange proof of what a Thinking Englishman amounts to at present!— [paper cut away]

[Thi]s is the Larkin specimen of paper from [Parkins] & Gotto. It does very well; and I will [orde]r a ream ohne weiteres [without more ado].
