TC TO CHARLOTTE WILLIAMS WYNN
Chelsea, 23 May, 1859—
Dear Miss Wynne,
My Wife is still weak, and forbidden all noise or disturbance; but I think she sees one or two people almost every day, who are gentle with her and do not stay long: you, I should say, had only to come early enough any day (12 or 1 o'clock, before she has had her allowance of Company), in order to be gladly admitted and welcomed.
In great haste / Yours ever truly / T. Carlyle
