I yesternight received your Note here, and shall find the worthy Dr Beard's old Book lying safe for me when I return to Chelsea, in about a week hence.1 I beg you to understand that I am very sensible of your friendly relation towards me,2 and shall keep that Gift of yours as a pleasing testimony of the same.
